<ul><li>Reporting to</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Project Manager </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Subordinates</li><li> Job Purpose: </li></ul><p><br></p>Construction Manager’s core responsibility is to execute the work as per schedule, within budget and specification. Ensuring the quality of materials and execution, optimum utilization of resources. Responsible for overall safety.<p><br></p><ul><li> Principal Accountabilities: </li><li> Implementing quality control programs.</li><li> Preparing progress reports.</li><li> Checking technical designs and Shop drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly</li><li> CM should understand the contract conditions and specifications of the project.</li><li> CM should clearly understand the project scope and support to planning engineer to prepare detailed schedule and budget structure wise.</li><li> Execution work of compliance with the specified requirements like checking of reinforcement fixing, formwork placing, pre concreting checking etc.</li><li> Establish with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager</li><li> Support the Planning engineer to prepare the yearly, quarterly and monthly programs.</li><li> Support to prepare the resource plan.</li><li> Arrange the required resources-equipment, material and manpower in coordination with concern department in HO to the project as per the programs.</li><li> Liaise with consultant site inspector, surveyor and material inspector for smooth work.</li><li> Coordinate to arrange the subcontractors if internal group is not available as per program and schedule.</li><li> Check the sub-contractors work progress and quality. Make sure that all the activities are executed as per the specification and drawing.</li><li> Monitor the project progress-daily, weekly and monthly.</li><li> Make sure that the site engineers are fully utilizing equipment and manpower.</li><li> Follow the technical issues with the concerned departments to solve.</li><li> Initiate technical queries (TQS) for any encountered conflicts on drawings and specifications, lack of details in drawings, violation of codes provisions etc.</li><li> Hold regular office meetings with site engineers, foreman and site operation in-charge regards the project progress, cost, requirements, arrangement and follow ups for the project successful completion.</li><li> Daily site visit to ensure that the execution of the project is as per quality and specifications.</li><li> Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and send to the HO with the signature.</li><li> Prepare the report for the deficiency in the progress and provide justification for the losses.</li><li> Prepare the monthly bill for the sub-contractors as per the surveyed quantity.</li><li> Coordinate with quantity surveyor during the preparation of IPC.</li><li> Plan and implement safety arrangements in the site. In addition, execute detour works as per the detour plan with proper safety arrangements.</li><li> Liaison with the Bitumen vendors and transporters for distribution as per projects requirements</li><li> Provide guidance and direction to team members as needed.</li><li> Manage and oversee the day-to-day Asphalt work activities of the project.</li><li> Coordinate multiple projects and Project Managers / Area Managers concurrently.</li><li> Coordinate the handing over of completed works to client and completion of the necessary rectification works.</li><li> Review manpower & Equipment and duration forecasts for completion of works as per planned durations and resource requirements.</li><li> Key Performance Indicators: </li><li> Achieving required productivity targets.</li><li> Monitoring the resource productivity.</li></ul><p><br></p>Identify resource requirements.<p><br></p><ul><li> Prepare Monthly , Quarterly, resource deployment plan in view of Main yearly plan</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Key relationships</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Provides a clear description of the job for subordinates working with him.</li><li> Job grading, to describe the job sufficiently to assess the grade.</li><li> To clarify roles and responsibilities for achieving Targets</li><li> To inform training and development needs.</li><li> To recommend for benefits from company.</li><li> To facilitate the employees with their rights.</li><li> Authorities: ()</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Required Academic Qualification</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Specification</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Bachelors / Masters</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Degree</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Civil</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Years of Experience & field</li><li> 10 to 12 Years of extensive experience in field of Civil construction in Industry</li><li> Skills and Competencies </li></ul><p><br></p>TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL<p><br></p><ul><li> Planning / forecasting</li><li>organising</li><li>motivating</li><li>controlling</li><li>developing etc.</li><li> Understand multi-generational workforce trends</li><li> Provide high-impact performance feedback</li><li> Focus on employees’ career development needs</li><li> Maximize leadership strengths</li><li> Allocating resources and budgeting</li><li> Responding to contingencies</li><li> Defining clear success criterions and communicating the same to the team</li><li> Reporting and keeping the organization informed</li></ul>
