Faithful+Gould are looking for a Construction Logistics GIS Manager in Riyadh, KSA. This role will have full oversight of the site wide logistics strategy.<br><br>A Construction Logistics GIS (Geographic Information System) Manager is responsible for overseeing the use of GIS technology and spatial data management in construction logistics operations. It’s precisely this diversity of talent that sets us apart.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li> GIS Management:</li><li> Develop and implement GIS strategies, standards, and procedures for construction logistics operations.</li><li> Manage and maintain spatial databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date geospatial data.</li><li> Design and create GIS maps, models, and visualizations to support construction logistics planning and decision-making.</li><li> Provide technical expertise and support to project teams regarding GIS-related matters.</li><li> Collaborate with other departments to integrate GIS data and analysis into construction management systems.</li><li> Construction Logistics Planning:</li><li> Analyze construction project requirements and constraints to develop efficient logistics plans.</li><li> Utilize GIS tools to assess site accessibility, transportation routes, and potential obstacles.</li><li> Identify optimal locations for temporary facilities, such as construction yards, staging areas, and laydown yards.</li><li> Collaborate with construction managers and site supervisors to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution processes.</li><li> Conduct spatial analysis to identify potential risks, such as congestion points or bottlenecks, and propose mitigation measures.</li><li> Resource and Material Management:</li><li> Monitor and track the movement of construction resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel, using GIS technology.</li><li> Optimize resource allocation based on project schedules, site conditions, and logistics requirements.</li><li> Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.</li><li> Analyze data on resource utilization and efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.</li><li> Implement inventory management systems to track and manage construction materials and equipment at various project sites.</li><li> Data Analysis and Reporting:</li><li> Collect, analyze, and interpret GIS data to generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations for construction logistics performance.</li><li> Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize logistics operations and improve overall efficiency.</li><li> Prepare and present reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key findings and proposed solutions.</li><li> Collaborate with project teams to develop construction logistics plans and budgets based on GIS analysis.</li><li> Team Management and Collaboration:</li><li> Lead a team of GIS technicians and analysts, providing guidance, training, and support.</li><li> Foster collaboration with other departments, such as project management, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of GIS data and analysis.</li><li> Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and government agencies to obtain relevant geospatial data and insights.</li><li> Stay updated on the latest GIS technology trends, tools, and methodologies, and assess their applicability to construction logistics operations.<br></li></ul>Overall, the Construction Logistics GIS Manager plays a critical role in optimizing construction logistics operations by leveraging GIS technology and spatial data management.
