They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.<br><br><strong><u>Job Summary<br><br></u></strong>As part of the Executive Project Management (EPM) team, the Project Construction Innovation Manager is responsible for assessing, suggesting, and implementing new digital and emerging technologies and methodologies in construction and working with internal and distributed teams together with contractors and sub-contractors to implement these.<br><br>This role will also include establishing the project innovation impact measures, capturing achieved value, coordinating with project controls and the trend program, and collaborating with the client to evaluate and pilot emerging technologies.<br><br><strong><u>Job Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li> Identify immediate and long-term innovation applicability opportunities, including reviewing the existing innovations portfolio and suggesting potential new opportunities for additional exploration, contributing to the NEOM construction innovation strategy and roadmaps.</li><li> Understand, document, and implement applicable innovation use-cases, including required modifications, in support of the NEOM construction innovation strategy as they apply to the EPM scope.</li><li> Collaborate with the client organizations to identify customer priorities, develop problem statements, and support prototype, pilot, and scaling the applicable emerging technologies to maximize innovation value.</li><li> Contribute to developing, communicating, and institutionalizing standardized process, digital, and data workflows between the Executive Project Management (EPM) team and the consultants / contractors.</li><li> Serve as a liaison between EPM digital delivery team, design subcontractors, construction, project SMEs, and IT in aid of the seamless implementation of construction innovations.</li><li> Establish the impact measures for identified innovations and coordinate with Project Controls the value capture approach and applicable trend program items to track.</li><li> Develop and populate value/ROI business cases collaboratively with cross-functional team members for prioritized innovations to capture innovation impact, cost savings, and project benefit to support the strategy.</li><li> Be the conduit for Bechtel construction innovations to NEOM, promoting the culture of innovation in a structured, practical, customer-focused, and value-driven manner.</li><li> Facilitate focused ideation campaigns as required to generate innovation ideas to address critical project needs. Identify new patent opportunities and coordinate with project legal and supply chain leadership.</li><li> Responsible for the overall stakeholder’ training plan for the NEOM/EPM innovations and associated workflows connected to support the delivery of the project key processes.</li><li> Conduct regular assessments of the existing contractors to review the implementation and compliance with the agreed innovation use-cases and seek opportunities for improvement.</li><li> Conduct regular market assessments to keep track of the new solution providers across the critical functional areas per identified use cases and project value-based priorities.</li><li> Capture lessons learned, solicit idea/prototype/pilot feedback, and share these amongst key stakeholders.</li><li> Develop progress, quality, and other reports and innovation KPI dashboards for project management.</li><li> Communicate and present the results of the innovation implementations and key status updates, highlighting measurable impact and further development opportunities.</li><li> Collaborate with distributed GBU and corporate innovation and technology teams to identify innovation opportunities for the selected sectors.</li><li> Enabling integration of information by all project stakeholders and co-ordination of information</li><li> Assisting the project team to establish information exchange processes and management procedures such as record keeping and change control procedures.</li><li> Facilitate the relationship between all design, management, construction, and commissioning entities to develop tools and processes which benefit the program/project delivery and hand-over</li><li> Identify and host training, mentoring and knowledge sharing activities, including development of training material, presentations, and multimedia formats</li><li> Work with stakeholders to develop, disseminate and implement program-wide standards for technologies and processes.</li><li> Develop and document standard practices to improve construction efficiency using technology.</li><li> Research innovative ways to use and develop processes to create a unique project experience both internally and externally.</li><li> Facilitate the use of 3D, 4D &amp; 5D processes to support construction planning, logistics, estimating and coordination.</li><li> Ensures adherence to quality standards, as well as consistent application of organisational policies and monitors budget requirements for projects in support of these</li><li> Works on complex duties requiring advanced techniques or an extensive and diversified knowledge of specialised areas of model coordination and collaboration.</li><li> Ensuring collaborative processes are performed in a consistent manner across the programme, identifying risk and acting upon non-compliance</li><li> Ensuring adequate enabling technology is available to both internal and external users within the programme<br></li></ul><strong>Job Qualification<br></strong><ul><li> Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or 15+ years of experience in engineering/ construction automation or technology in design and construction.</li><li> Understand project workflows from estimation, design, construction management, sub-contract administration and coordination through to handover to the client.</li><li> Previous experience implementing innovative and digital technologies and methodologies in construction.</li><li> Understanding digital tools and processes used in engineering and construction such as BIM, 4D Planning, integrating GIS for field data collection and visualization, data analytics, use-cases related to drone imagery and machine control. Familiar with databases and information management principles.</li><li> Familiar with collaboration and data and information management solutions: CDEs, BIM 360 Suite, Navisworks, 3D/BIM-enabled quantity takeoff, Synchro4D, ESRI GIS Field Maps/Survey 123, and preferably Dassault Systems.</li><li> Proven experience leading and participating in cross-functional initiatives as a change agent.</li><li> Proficient in oral, visual, and written communications skills. Collaborate well in a team environment. Experience presenting to executive level audiences is a plus.</li><li> Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities.</li><li> Design Thinking experience and/or familiarity with the lean startup principles is a plus.</li><li> Expertise with crowdsourcing platforms, ideation tools and techniques is a plus.</li><li> Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and ensure follow through in its discussions.</li><li> Process oriented, with ability to adapt to change, whether planned or unplanned.</li><li> Building construction sequencing</li><li> Implementation of Focused Initiatives.</li><li> Understanding of building design, construction and operations.</li><li> Understanding of CPM scheduling.</li><li> Understanding of Pre-construction services.</li><li> Enjoys training others, has continuous improvement mindset.</li><li> Team builder.</li><li> Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li> Excellent computer skills including proficiency in software programs (Autodesk Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).Some travel required.<br></li></ul><strong>Shaping tomorrow together<br><br></strong><strong>Bechtel is one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies.
