Overview<p><br></p><strong> The Role </strong><p><br></p>We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our Dubai office, r esponsible for the Compliance framework across the Middle East, including UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, KSA, Oman and Pakistan.<p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Providing oversight of risk management and compliance activities across the business including communication, co-ordination, reporting and follow ups with the local teams </li><li> Coordination and completion of the annual ‘Self-Assessment Questionnaire’ (SAQ) submissions for the country and identify and agree actions required to address gaps and weaknesses </li><li> Maintain the regional/country risk registers, project ownership and management of compliance initiatives either driven by region/group, third party bodies or country/regional regulators (e.g. GCC) </li><li> Provide support and guidance to the business for areas that may have been identified as requiring focus </li><li> Ongoing tracking of open actions in relation to Internal Audit issues, SAQs, Top Risks and any others that might have been identified during third party/internal visits </li><li> Co-ordination of other reporting submissions to Group such as Health and Safety, Environmental sustainability, Insurance policy details, Gifts and Entertainment and whistleblowing activities </li><li> Reporting and communication and liaising with Group Legal and with Group risk and Internal Audit as required </li><li> Assist HR with the onboarding of new joiners by way of introduction and presenting of the Compliance role </li><li> Complete Enhanced Due Diligence on clients considered to be high-risk as per the Client Onboarding Policy </li><li> Monthly testing of new clients and the completion of KYC </li><li> Manage the Learning Management System and track the completion rates of mandatory training modules across the ME Annual review of policies and procedures across the business to ensure compliance, including, AML and Client acceptance, Speak-Up Policy (Whistleblowing) as well as the Gifts and Entertainment Register </li><li> Successfully build a network of Risk & Compliance peers across the EME region </li><li> Review legal contracts and documentation and advise the Business accordingly </li><li> Drive improvement in quality and efficiency of processes through alignment of local and global processes and policies </li><li> Develop and manage ME compliance “connect” intranet site to best support the business </li><li> Account manage relationships with third party support providers – e.g. training, compliance checks, other as required </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills, Knowledge And Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal </li><li> Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail </li><li> Business acumen and professionalism is required to communicate with all levels of the business from graduates to Executive Directors </li><li> Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise their tasks and can remain calm under pressure </li><li> Team player who can build positive relationships with colleagues across EME region </li><li> Patient, determined and energetic with the a bility to work flexibly and be adaptable to change </li><li> Intelligent and commercially minded whilst also having enthusiasm to learn and deliver high standards at all times </li><li> Proactive and enjoys working autonomously – a “self-starter” </li><li> Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines, some formal, some self-imposed </li><li> Prioritise work and manage own time </li><li> Graduate ideally with Compliance experience, all relevant professional qualifications and experience considered </li><li> At least 4 years compliance experience in a multinational is a must </li><li> Must be used to working in a fast-paced and ambitious environment given the nature of our business </li><li> Commercial legal background, commercial exposure combined with an appetite for identifying and addressing risks </li><li> Solid understanding of all Microsoft applications but specifically excel </li><li> Strong English skills with Arabic speaking skills as advantageous </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills, Knowledge And Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Excellent
