Our firm is committed to providing clients with efficient, cost-effective and innovative legal solutions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong>: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all compliance-related activities for the firm to be based out of our ADGM office.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices for our UAE entities.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified compliance/regulatory risks.</li><li>Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the firm and ensure compliance with Anti-Money</li><li>Laundering (AML) regulations and guidelines.</li><li>Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies, and take corrective action where necessary.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters and handle compliance queries from clients.</li><li>Manage the Know Your Customer / Supplier (KYC) process for new clients / suppliers and existing clients / suppliers, including initial / periodic screening against sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEPs) lists.</li><li>Design and deliver training programs to employees, staff and lawyers on compliance-related topics.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.</li><li>On-boarding: manage the client/supplier on boarding process.</li><li>Liaising with relevant authorities for document processing and updating of firm records.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>A degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.</li><li>Strong knowledge of relevant UAE laws, regulations and guidelines, particularly in ADGM.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Professional certification in compliance, risk management or related field is desirable.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are an experienced Compliance Officer with a strong track record of managing compliance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, please submit your application to us.
