<p>As a Compliance Leader for the Middle East and Africa, your primary responsibility is to ensure that EthosEnergy operates within the boundaries of legal and regulatory frameworks while adhering to internal policies and procedures. Reporting to the Global Trade and Integrity Compliance Director you will work collaboratively with other departments to establish and maintain a robust compliance program within this region. Your role involves monitoring and mitigating compliance risks, developing and implementing compliance strategies, and fostering a culture of ethics and integrity.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Job Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p>1. Develop and Implement Compliance Strategy:</p><ul><li>Design and implement a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with legal and regulatory requirements and supports the organization’s objectives.</li><li>Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.</li><li>Establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance.</li><li>Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, and communicate relevant updates to the organization. </li></ul><p>2. Monitor and Assess Compliance:</p><ul><li>Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement.</li><li>Implement monitoring and reporting systems to ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures.</li><li>Analyse data and trends to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. </li></ul><p>3. Provide Compliance Guidance and Training:</p><ul><li>Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters and provide guidance to employees at all levels.</li><li>Develop and deliver compliance training programs to increase awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to embed compliance principles into their processes and procedures. </li></ul><p>4. Foster a Culture of Ethics and Integrity:</p><ul><li>Promote a strong culture of ethics and integrity throughout the organization.</li><li>Encourage open communication channels for reporting potential compliance violations or concerns.</li><li>Investigate reported compliance incidents, initiate appropriate corrective actions, and ensure non-retaliation. </li></ul><p>5. Engage with Regulatory Bodies and Stakeholders:</p><ul><li>Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.</li><li>Represent the organization during regulatory inspections, audits, and investigations.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance-related queries and concerns.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills / Knowledge</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification in compliance is preferred.</li><li>Proven significant experience in a compliance or regulatory role, with a focus on developing and implementing compliance programs.</li><li>Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the organization.</li><li>Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.</li><li>Sound ethical judgment and integrity.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Experience as Compliance leader in a multinational company Note: This job description is a general overview and may be subject to modifications based on the organization’s specific requirements and industry.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Education Requirements</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Degree in Law or Economics</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Physical Requirements</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Required languages English and Arabic</li></ul><p><br></p><p>EthosEnergy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
