ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage, Design, configuration, and implementation of the Commvault platform.
• Provide tier-3 support for backup server-related issues as and when required.
• Provides direct technical support in Troubleshooting and implementing the solution for KAIA infrastructure.
• Strong experience in CommVault performing backup, recovery, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and optimizing performance.
• Experience performing daily backup routine maintenance, Adding clients, and configuring CommVault agent on clients, can provide guidance and take up escalations from the L1 team.
• Experience in BAU administration and support of CommVault backup environment, troubleshooting Backup Failures, and providing technical resolution.
• Monitor alerts and policy exceptions (security events), escalate incidents to authorized personnel, and Document details of security incidents.
• Configuring Storage Units, Volume Pools, Disk Staging, and storage life cycle policies and creating Policies and Schedules, Monitoring backup/restoring jobs, /Experience troubleshooting CommVault problems.
• Ensure regular reporting to the management on Backup status, providing Dashboard, meeting Service level client backup policies, and meeting client SLA norms. Should have strong working knowledge in backup solutions.
• Strict Adherence to the use of the ticketing system for All incidents, changes, and problems.
• Ability to Correlate Incident trends into problem management and execute permanent fixes.
• Execute Monthly patch management research, reports, and system infrastructure implementation.
• Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiar with using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, and data replication.
• Other standard Backup responsibilities as a backup Subject Expert.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the line manager.
