Job Description
Job Purpose:
- The Commercial Manager will be responsible for generating targeted Exhibition and sponsorship revenues from international companies for India Energy Week
- This strategic commercial role will have to close high-value deals with a cross section of customer segments ranging from large, blue-chip companies through to start ups and SMEs.
- Experience, authority and acumen in engaging with Director, VP and senior management level decision makers is essential.
- This role has no direct management responsibility.
Key accountabilities:
- New business sales targeting exhibition and sponsrship revenue through high volume outbound telesales.
- Customer management by working closely with customers onsite to ensure delivery of packages
- Source leads through market knowledge leading to successful sales.
- Communicate the event value proposition to prospective customers
- Understand client needs and build appropriate packages that are clearly designed to achieve client objectives.
- Work closely with other departments, content, marketing, and sales to operate as one team.
- Daily research and consumption of industry news, free webinars, mastery to improve their industry knowledge and sales skills
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven success selling B2B conferences and exhibitions selling space and/or sponsorship
- Preference of experience in the energy sector
