Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing business growth efforts on behalf of a company. Their duties include conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads, coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and other business partners. Acts as a team leader in a Contracts Administration group. Serves as the Contract Proponent representative in the development and administration of contracts is assigned organization.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Responsible for overseeing negotiations with all suppliers/vendors and maintain the organization’s interfaces with relevant suppliers and service delivery organizations and managing contract agreements.
- Manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for new contracts.
- Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
- Monitor local and federal regulations.
- Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms.
- Recruit and oversee contractors and vendors.
- Negotiate contract financial claims with suppliers and advice for settlement.
- Manage and oversee the procurement and contracting activities including outsourcing, vendor evaluation and selection, contract agreements and negotiations.
- Lead contract management activities including setting contract terms and conditions and contract change orders, contract cancelation, contract termination and contract close out procedures.
- Performs all functions common to the Work Director level as
- established by management.
- Provides complex technical advice and support to contract
- proponents from the conception of contract service requirements
- through the execution of a contract to the termination of the
- contract or service requirements.
- Directs and participates in the development of engineering
- and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract
- services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical,
- financial and/or procedural/administrative.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development of a
- professional level of analyses of Company risk or exposure.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development of a
- professional level of analysis and technical qualification of
- bidders.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development of
- scopes of work for various contract services.
- Develops professional-level presentations to Executive
- Management, and makes presentations or participates in the
- presentations to Services Review Committee.
- Participates as the contract proponent representative or
- delegates participation on the Bid Review Team charged with
- development of a realistic Company position on contract terms
- and the negotiation of these terms.
