Description

The Credit and Collections Advisor is responsible for providing customer accounting, internal and external collection, high usage control and credit check advice and administration services offering advice based on the creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers in line with the credit and collections policies and procedures. The Credit and Collections Advisor performs tasks to provide clear support in collection and negotiating terms of payment on overdue accounts with Vodafone Business and consumer customers and works with colleagues to deliver related activities for the designated business function. Typically reports to the Senior Credit and Collections Team Leader.

Job Responsibility

* Good understanding of credit management procedures and concepts for certain processes to deliver assigned tasks to support the execution of debt negotiation collection delivery and credit management plans;

* Provides transactional services personally, using clear communication and common courtesy to support the delivery of collection of overdue bills and takes appropriate action to recover overdue payments;

* Exchanges information to deliver tasks to ensure all customers are contacted and chased for payments (for the ledgers in a specific segment) in line with Vodafone standards and supports colleagues in preparing data and reporting regarding debt recovery;

* Provides consistent advice for certain processes regarding credit management (e.g. endorsement of no-debt, remittance matching, credit notes etc.) in order to collect debt amount and prevent involuntary churn due to debt;

* Supports registering debts into insolvency proceedings, eventually inheritance proceedings and reporting to management teams on payments coming in and forecasting cash;

* Performs assigned tasks supporting relations with external parties (e.g. debt recovery agencies, courts, etc.), colleagues across Fraud, Security, Finance and Legal, Sales teams, Account Managers and Billing services;

* Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.
