Summary
Provides for the technical support of medical, diagnostic, therapeutic and analytical devices and systems, utilized for applied patient healthcare and healthcare research.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Provides for the demand and scheduled preventative maintenance of assigned medical and research equipment, Follows manufacturers’ guidelines for this scheduled preventative maintenance.
2. Is competent in the basic operation and application of assigned medical and research equipment.
3. Reviews schematic drawings, manufacturer’s instructions and manuals or obtains verbal instructions to diagnose technical problems and facilitates repair and preventative maintenance utilizing this information.
4. Utilizes all required testing instrumental and hand tools required to facilitate repair and preventative maintenance of assigned medical equipment.
5. Provides for user education and instruction, as required.
6. Trains and guides Clinical Engineering Technicians, SCDP participants, Student Interns and other Clinical Engineering staff on the technical support of medical technology, as required.
7. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
8. Participates in self and others’ education, training & development, as applicable.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Technology, or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Two (2) years of related experience with Bachelor’s is required.

Valid license from country of origin.
