Clinical Data Consultant

Job Description

<strong>Specific Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Elicit requirements, business rules, and processes from customers and stakeholders to produce the required data deliverables (e.g. data model transformation, reports)</li><li>Work with a variety of healthcare data sources, including HL7/FHIR resources, databases, flat files and APIs.</li><li>Perform data extraction, enrichment, cleansing, and data quality validation.</li><li>Perform data transformation and standardization of clinical data into the OHDSI OMOP Common Data Model</li><li>Perform data analysis using Clinical Research Platform built-in tools, natively integrated programming languages e.g. R, Python, and other programming languages or analysis platforms.</li><li>Develop reports, analytic dashboards, visualizations</li><li>Work in a secure environment with personal identifying information  </li><li>Design, develop, deliver and maintain technical documentation and training programs</li><li>Provide  user support</li><li>Liaise between customers’ and solution provider technical teams.</li><li>Maintain and contribute to a registry and repository of analytic workflows and support Communities of Practices</li><li>Work with leaders of open standards such as SNOMED-CT, HL7/FHIR and OMOP and contribute to such open standards</li></ul><br /><strong>Required Skills:</strong><ul><li>Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Experience in sales</li><li>Experience working with customers and managing stakeholders</li><li>Experience in project execution</li><li>Problem solving skills</li><li>High level of competency with SQL</li><li>Competent with Python and using APIs</li><li>Extensive experience working with electronic medical record data in HL7/FHIR resources, databases and flat file formats and using APIs.</li><li>Experience working with healthcare terminologies and code sets e.g., ICD-10 and building or using value datasets for administrative or clinical reporting use cases.</li><li>Strong grasp of ETL processes, tools and best practices</li><li>Experience developing reports and dashboards with tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent</li></ul>
