Job Description

KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES
# Provide advice and assistance to the Director and Department’s Management Team.
# Participate in strategic reviews of goals and objectives and endorse applicable / related changes into policies,
systems and obligations under the Department
# Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
# Respond to emergency / crisis as per the timeline specified (in 20 minutes), considering the criticality and as
per Management Direction on a 24×7 basis, and provide technical feedback to Management
# Ensure safety management at critical incident sites and advise on necessary safety obligations and
requirements to other Team Members
# Facilitate the Judicial Control Officer duties as per Executive Council Resolutions and Administrative Decisions
of Railway laws
# Conduct safety critical inspections / audits on work sites as per the special assignments from the
Management
# Attend emergency and crisis drills as advised and provide technical feedback to Management
# Lead all external audits / assessment / visits related to safety and ensure compliance to field safety conditions
# Promote innovation activities to ensure collecting, studying, and recommending viable ideas that support the
advancements and improvements of department on local and international arena
# Monitoring and evaluating implementation of Department strategies, processes, indicators to suggest actions
required for optimization and performance enhancement
# Assist the Director in establishing the execution plan, prioritizing the programs and projects, considering the
allocated budget
# Works closely with technology / operations departments to review and recommend strategic and/or
operational changes into SRRPD directions/plans aiming at achieving full alignment and harmony
# Provide technical support required for reviewing and updating policies, processes, procedures, guidelines,
specifications and recommend for Director approvals
# Contribute to the development of initiatives related to the Department functional scope.
# Acts as ambassador communicating SRRPD strategies and aspirations within RTA and outside RTA with other
government entities, partners and community.
# Assist the Director with development initiatives and promote RTA’s leaderships and reports on its risks,
feasibility, precautions and benefits
# Attend incident / accident sites considering the criticality and as per Management Direction on a 24×7 basis
and provide technical input to support investigation

Education
# Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Chemical / Railway / Computer Science) from a
recognized University

# Master Degree in Management from a recognized University
