<strong>Job Description</strong><p><br></p>Job Title : Chief Engineer<p><br></p>Section Electromechanical Systems Maintenance<p><br></p>Department : Rail Maintenance<p><br></p>Agency/Sector : Rail Agency<p><br></p><ul><li>JOB PURPOSE</li></ul><p><br></p>Responsible for the management, monitoring, inspecting, auditing, follow-up, and coordination of maintenance<p><br></p>activities of all railway power supply system including high voltage power system, earthling system and protection<p><br></p>system on Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram. Effectively manage and communicate the railway power supply system<p><br></p>maintenance objectives &amp; targets, programs, performance, and ensure that the contractor complies with all Rail’s<p><br></p>regulations <ul><li> KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES</li></ul><p><br></p># Review of designs (design maintainability review) as and submit recommendations when requested.<p><br></p># Promptly report all accidents and/or potential hazards.<p><br></p># Manage and ensure the implementation of the preventive and corrective maintenance of the electrical /<p><br></p>mechanical systems and related features.<p><br></p># Responsible for preparing yearly reports comparing the maintenance practices of the department with the<p><br></p>current international best practices.<p><br></p># Analyse statistical data and reports to identify causes of electrical / mechanical systems maintenance<p><br></p>problems and develop recommendations for improvement.<p><br></p># Manage the Information Systems to enhance and improve the same for efficient use.<p><br></p># Ensure achievement of targeted results in each key performance areas as outlined in the plan.<p><br></p># Ensure efficient, courteous and timely services to all employees’ requests and inquiries.<p><br></p># Ensure achievement of the quality objectives as set forth in the RTA and the department quality plan.<p><br></p># Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning electrical / mechanical systems maintenancerelated<p><br></p>data.<p><br></p># Fulfil all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.<p><br></p># Comply with the RTA’s quality standards and requirements.<p><br></p># Manage the maintenance activities of the electrical / mechanical systems.<p><br></p># Collate training information from the performance appraisal forms for identification and designing individual<p><br></p>training programs.<p><br></p># Review, comment on annual budget that is submitted by the maintainer and forecast, monitor implementation,<p><br></p>evaluate and recommend specific adjustments during the implementation to project needs.<p><br></p># Ensure all the environmental aspects in the area of responsibility are identified and actions are taken to ensure<p><br></p>compliance with the QSEH standards<p><br></p># Mobilize available resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create<p><br></p>project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.<p><br></p># Maintains accurate and up-to-date information and availability trends through current networking.<p><br></p># Investigate &amp; implement best practice.<p><br></p># Comply with the RTA applicable QSEH rules and procedures.<p><br></p># Attend a project taking-over and end of defect liability period inspection from the main contractor, ensure that<p><br></p>snag lists are prepared and submitted to the contractor for rectification through the concerned department.<p><br></p># Facilitate the management review on maintenance planning issues, performance, inspection, progress towards<p><br></p>the objectives &amp; target, programs, etc.<p><br></p># Comply with the RTA policy in respect to the Stakeholders, Customer, Suppliers, Employees, and to carry out<p><br></p>your duties and responsibilities as per RTA Code of Conduct.<p><br></p># Manage, execution, and supervision of work/projects including, review work requirements, issue work<p><br></p>scheduling &amp;
