Job Description
- As a Chemical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of our chemical manufacturing facilities, ensuring that they are safe and compliant with all state and federal regulations.
- You will also conduct research and use scientific, Engineering, and mathematical principles to troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes; develop new and improved operations by applying new technologies.
- Develop new processes for production and oversee existing processes to ensure that they are kept up-to-date and running smoothly.
- Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing, and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved.
- Observing production processes, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality.
- Design, install and commission new production plants, including monitoring developments, and troubleshooting.
- Research new products from trial through to commercialization and improve product lines.
- Ensure that the project operator’s potential safety issues, the environment, the process, and the product are considered at all stages.
Skills
- Applied knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
- Demonstrated ability to solve highly technical problems
- Strong technical writing ability
- Direct experience with the use of spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present data
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies
- Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
- Chemical Engineer Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project)
- Project management experience a plus
