Job Description

What you will be doing:

Under the supervision of the Executive Sous Chef and the executive chef, and within the limits of the established Movenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea policies and OSM (Operational Standards Manual), his/her responsibilities are to provide efficient, exact and punctual service and work, and to come up with new, innovative ideas related to the food product, displays, plating and Buffet set-up’s. To work with a team spirit and to ensure that each guest leaves our Outlets fully satisfied and with the wish to return back.

She/he has to assist the Senior Sous Chef to maintain the set food cost target by the company and to report any possible concerns immediately. The Chef is assisting the Executive Sous Chef with any work, related to the Kitchen operation in regard to organization and quality. He/she communicates on daily basis with the outlets chefs and makes sure all set quality standards as per our hotel policy are met and followed.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: 

  • She/he is in responsible of the daily food production in her/his outlet and has to ensure top-quality products, as per the Hotel standards.
  • Has to make sure that standard recipes and plating guides are followed at all times in her/his outlet.
  • Has to provide the Executive Chef with recipes and costing as per the requirement.
  • Assists and proposes to the Executive Chef special Food Promotions, Events and other Food related activities for her/his outlet.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

A suitable level of education in Culinary Arts

A solid experience in a similar position

A very good command of English Language and computer skills

Interpersonal skills, time management and good communication skills
