<strong>Overall Purpose of Job</strong><p><br></p>The Charge Nurse is responsible for the smooth and efficient patient flow within the clinic. Delegates<p><br></p>assignments and provides supervision for the support staff in accordance with their level of training and<p><br></p>the patient’s acuity. Works, in cooperation with medical providers to ensure the quality of patient care.<p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Makes an assignment according to the needs of the patient and the capabilities of the staff</li><li> Insures standards of patient care through QA monitors</li><li> Develops and posts work schedule within time frame</li><li> Calculates timecards and monitor’s staff</li><li> Provides direct patient care as needed</li><li> Assigns lunches and breaks for the staff</li><li> Anticipates physician needs</li><li> Communicates problems involving personnel, medical staff, patients, families, and the general public to the appropriate management personnel</li><li> Schedules staff meetings on a regular basis</li><li> Completes annual performance evaluations on staff</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Experience Required</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Minimum of 5 years fulltime experience in a medical care setting as an RN.</li><li> Minimum of 2 years fulltime experience as a Charge Nurse / Nurse Leadership</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Education Required</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Associate Degree, Bachelor’s degree, from approved nursing program. [Preference to BSN]</li><li> Current license to practice in any US State</li><li> AHA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment</li><li>Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time</li><li>May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Other Special Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.</li><li>This position is unaccompanied. </li><li>US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. </li><li>US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.</li><li>Must be able to relocate to Qatar. </li><li>A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
