<p>The American University of Beirut (AUB) Faculty of Medicine (FM) is seeking a recognized academic leader for the position of Chairperson of the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology and Physiological Sciences.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology, and Physiological Sciences (DACP) at AUB-FM is dedicated to advancing knowledge in various scientific fields such as anatomy, cell and developmental biology, embryology, histology, neuroscience, and physiology. The Department offers excellent research and educational opportunities, with distinguished faculty members who are committed to academic excellence. Faculty members and students benefit from the dedicated state-of-the-art laboratories, core facilities, and advanced equipment, housed within the DACP.</p><p><br></p><p>DACP provides Master of Science (MS) programs in Human Morphology, Neuroscience, and Physiology, and contributes to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Biomedical Sciences by offering PhD disciplines in the Cell Biology of Cancer, Neurosciences, and Physiology. DACP faculty members are also heavily involved in teaching medical students within the&nbsp;MD program, as well as graduate and undergraduate students from several other AUB Faculties and Schools.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The candidate for the position of Chairperson of the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology and Physiological Sciences should be an accomplished academic leader with a strong background in the relevant scientific fields. They must possess exceptional management and leadership skills, a distinguished research record, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. The candidate should foster interdisciplinary collaboration, have a strategic vision for the Department, and demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Additionally, they should promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, actively engage in professional activities, and contribute to the institutional goals and values of AUB.
