Catering & Events Sales Manager

Job Description

<strong>What will I be doing?<br></strong><ul><li>Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve catering and events revenue goals.</li><li>Identify and target potential clients and markets, including corporate clients, event planners, and wedding planners.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing their specific needs.</li><li>Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals for catering and event bookings.</li><li>Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams to create customized menus and event packages.</li><li>Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, menu selection, and staffing requirements.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding event details and changes.</li><li>Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.</li><li>Prepare sales reports and forecasts, tracking performance against targets.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to the sales team, setting sales targets and motivating team members.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What are we looking for?<br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in catering and events sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.</li><li>Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving revenue targets.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients.</li><li>Knowledge of event planning and catering operations.</li><li>Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.</li><li>Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.</li><li>Leadership skills to guide and motivate a sales team.</li><li>Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What will it be like to work for IHG?<br><br></strong>About us IHG® is one of the world’s leading hotel companies, with a promise to provide True Hospitality for everyone.
