Job Description

1. Assisting with bathing and dressing the client
2. Assisting with preparation, serving and consumption of food and drink
3. Administering oral and topical medication as prescribed by a doctor
4. Maintaining records of all treatment being administered
5. Supporting physical and emotional wellbeing by engaging in light conversation, reading and encouraging physical activity where possible
6. Collaborating with other health care professionals to establish a schedule of care
7. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents;
8. observes and reports the health and emotional condition of patient; and promptly reports all changes to the supervisor.
9. Encourages patients to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids while respecting the patient’s right to free choice and records and reports changes in patient’s eating habits to the supervisor.
10. Performing other caregiving roles as necessary
