<p>Offset8 Capital Limited (“Offset8”) is an asset management firm based in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, dedicated to establishing the Middle East’s first carbon investment fund. Our company’s vision is to finance climate mitigation and adaptation projects with a focus on initiatives such as mangrove restoration, reforestation, and biochar implementation. These projects not only contribute to environmental conservation but also support local communities in Africa and Southeast Asia, promoting sustainable economic development.</p><p><br></p><p>As a Carbon Trader at Offset8, you will play a vital role in our carbon investment activities. You will be responsible for carbon credit trades and managing portfolios.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Execute carbon credit trades across various markets, including voluntary and compliance markets, to achieve desired investment objectives.</li><li>Monitor and analyse market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and policy developments to inform trading strategies and decision-making.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and other market participants to facilitate efficient and effective trading operations.</li><li>Monitoring carbon credit portfolios, risk management, and performance tracking.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, reporting requirements, and market standards.</li><li>Stay updated on emerging trends, methodologies, and best practices in carbon trading to drive innovation and optimize trading strategies.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Direct experience in carbon trading or related financial trading roles.</li><li>Strong understanding of carbon markets, including voluntary and compliance markets, carbon pricing mechanisms, and market dynamics.</li><li>Proven track record in executing successful trades and managing portfolios within the carbon market.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant regulations, reporting frameworks, and industry standards in carbon trading.</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, identify trading opportunities, and manage risks.</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Knowledge of environmental sustainability, climate policy, and project-based carbon credits would be advantageous.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Join Offset8 Capital Limited and contribute to our mission of financing impactful climate projects.
