<p><strong>Position:</strong> <strong>Captain Waiter </strong></p><p><strong>Job Description: </strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Take over from host and Welcoming guests to their booked table. (Acknowledge by family name if possible)</li><li>Take Beverage Order and making sure the correct glassware is on the table (Water or wine Glasses)</li><li>Overlook waiter serving the beverage </li><li>Take Food Order from guests after Informing the guest of any unavailable items or specialties (If Briefed)</li><li>Serve Food for customers when it arrives. (Waiter can serve food if Captain was busy, but priority to Captain)</li><li>Overlook waiter’s performance on the tables (Removing plates / Changing Ashtrays / Filling Wine)</li><li>Notice un-finished plates and assess if there is a problem with any item. </li><li>Decide when to serve desserts and makes sure to order it on time as per customer’s request or automatically after meal. </li><li>Check and hand the check to the person inviting (Reservation) / & keeping an eye on the table until the bill is settled. </li><li>Thank and say goodbye to customers leaving the restaurant regardless if on his section or not. </li><li>Make sure change is sent back to the table after paying, and also keeping an eye on the customers till they leave. </li><li>Communicate with the rest of the sections / Kitchen or Office through Team Service Leader. </li><li>Attend all service Briefs, meetings, and restaurant events. </li><li>Be able to do and report service inventory count per cycle. </li><li>Must be able to open & close all the service area, station, arrange table setup, and spot check that the Opening & Closing SOPs are being implemented on time and as written. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Captains must be able to answer all questions related to the Menu / Restaurant </li><li>Be able to solve service, food, & beverage related issues with customers on the spot AND consult with manager when needed. </li><li>Report daily on all served tables; the good, the bad, and the worth knowing. </li><li>Have at least two languages and good reporting and writing skills. </li><li>Be able to work in the sun, work long shifts, and stay calm under pressure. </li></ul><p><br></p>
