Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Camp Manager to oversee the operations of our camp facility. As the Camp Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained environment for campers and staff. Your role will involve managing various aspects of the camp, including facilities, activities, staff supervision, and camper welfare. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and providing exceptional customer service to campers and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the camp facility, including maintenance, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the campgrounds and buildings.
- Coordinate and supervise camp activities, ensuring a diverse range of engaging programs that meet the interests and needs of campers.
- Recruit, train, and supervise camp staff, including counselors, activity leaders, and support personnel. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to maintain a positive and cohesive team.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and health regulations to ensure the well-being of campers and staff.
- Monitor camper welfare and provide a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, social interaction, and positive relationships.
- Manage camp logistics, including camper registrations, transportation arrangements, and inventory control of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with parents and families to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on camp activities, attendance, and incident reports as required.
- Foster a positive camp culture that promotes inclusivity, respect, and cooperation among campers and staff.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to camp management, incorporating innovative ideas into camp programming.
Skills
- A minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale camps with a diverse range of nationalities.
- Previous experience in camp management or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in producing periodic reports for clients and management, providing valuable insights and updates on camp operations.
- Excellent command of the English language and strong IT skills to effectively communicate and utilize relevant software and tools.
