Job Description
• Responsible for the purchase of materials, supplies, services, and critical items
• Manages and continuously develops, improves, and maintains all order fulfillment processes, including planning inventory, forecasting and dispatch activities, ensuring that these processes continuously meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
• Contributes to the overall management and development of the business to maintain and improve the service levels provided to internal and external customers.
• Administer complex procurement activities, including sub-contracts, agreements, modifications, task/delivery orders, solicitations, estimates, cost/price analysis, negotiation memoranda, justifications, determinations, special contract provisions, representations, certifications, and correspondence.
• Visits with vendor sales personnel as necessary and develops a working relationship and rapport with them.
• Reviews purchase requisitions for shop services and supplies, develops Requests For Proposal and/or Statement of Work and reviews competitive bids
• Institutes and maintains reports and documentation relating to purchase orders, deliveries, and schedules.
• Ensures necessary work order documentation is generated, reviewed, and issued to internal customers, and is properly archived.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
