Job Description
Objectives:
• Generate profitable convention business through effective leadership of the Business Development team.
• Develop, build, and maintain exceptional business relationships with all stakeholders, both locally and international.
• Position EWB as a key destination in the GCC and worldwide, to host events.
Main responsibilities:
• Ensure the smooth transition of existing EWB venue events to ensure long-term success of this critical events upon relocation to the new venue.
• Identify and build long-term relationships with potential and existing clients to secure new business opportunities for the EWB.
• Implement and manage effective lead generation initiatives to generate new business leads across assigned market and industry sectors.
• Implement lead generation initiatives to maximise the Kingdom’s strengths in key industry sectors, as per Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
• Work closely with the Communications Department to maximise global awareness and positioning of EWB.
• Fully support and oversee this role’s direct reports of Business Development team, ensuring they have the correct tools to convert leads into secure business deals.
• Develop and implement creative and collaborative stakeholder and industry collaborative initiatives.
• Develop a thorough understanding of both the global and local Convention industry.
• Oversee and manage the CRM and Event system, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
