CFTE’s objective is to equip professionals with the skills to thrive in the new world of finance. This includes online courses and specialisations, leadership training and hands-on extrapreneurship experiences in topics such as Fintech, Open Banking, Digital Payments or Artificial Intelligence.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Business Developer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be based in Abu Dhabi, s/he is in charge of Business Development and Relationship Management, identifying and developing new business opportunities to grow CFTE’s presence in the region, while collaborating day to day with teams in London and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships in Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East region
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and corporate clients
  • Promote CFTE’s education platform and services to potential clients, and work with them to understand their needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements
  • Attend industry events, conferences and networking events to represent CFTE and build brand awareness
  • Comprehend and describe our services accurately to clients

Profile Required:

  • Arabic and English speaker with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in financial services
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive results
  • Proactive, Resilient with Entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Self-motivated person with High Work Ethics
  • Demonstrate the ability to set priorities, organise, delegate and control

Preferred Skills according to CFTE’s SHIME framework:

  • Soft skills: strong communication skills (both written and verbal), collaboration skills in a decentralised environment and interpersonal skills
  • Hard skills: familiarity with digital tools (including CRM, Google slides and ChatGPT), project management
  • Industry knowledge: knowledge of financial services, understanding of Fintech and Blockchain. Knowledge of training industry a plus. 
  • Mindset: think like an entrepreneur, adaptable, resilient. Get things done. Teamplayer.
  • Experience: no specific industry required, however experience in startups or financial services is preferred.
