Job Description

Role Purpose

  • Support Lead Business Analyst to coordinate requirements from business department and working alongside the business departments for requirements analysis.
  • Keep up with the IT emerging technologies on what could be implemented to advance the IT systems.
  • Trace requirements and maintain the process of requirements collection and analysis.
  • Report findings and monitor the performance of IT projects in the Authority.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Support IT business Analyst lead in coordination of requirements from the business departments
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for the eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements
  • Work with business departments to establish requirement scope, outputs, and timelines
  • Analyze business requirements
  • Develop comprehensive requirement specifications that will determine the estimate of cost, time, and resources to deploy solutions
  • Liaise with the service development team to suggest a high level functional solution
  • Develop change estimates & complete financial model (costs, savings, revenue opportunities, investment horizon, etc.)
  • Highlight/identify gaps in existing functionality and review requirements with stakeholders
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements
  • Keep up with advances in IT and emerging technologies that could be implemented to advance systems
  • Maintain requirement traceability from collection of requirements to implementation through service providers
  • Effectively communicate findings to Business Analysis Department Head
  • Report data findings and support in requirements for key solutions that meet Interim Authority’s needs
  • Participate and support in UATs (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Requirement tracking from development to implementation

Background, Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis or related field
  • Exceptional technical and functional skills
  • Understanding of how data/metrics can be used to inform future decision making
  • Interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to understand context quickly, problem-solve and make decisions
  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written) and a good command of English and ability to present confidently to small and large groups
  • Influencer and able to lead people through change

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Business Analysis or related field (preferred)
