Job Description
We are hiring brain injury specialist is a medical professional who specializes in the treatment of individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. Brain injury specialists are often involved in the rehabilitation process, helping patients to recover as much function as possible after their injury.<p><br></p><strong><u>Brain Injury Specialist Job Duties</u></strong><p><br></p><strong>Brain injury specialists have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Conducting cognitive, physical, speech, and language evaluations to determine the nature of the injury and the best course of treatment</li><li>Conducting research in order to develop new treatment methods for patients with similar conditions</li><li>Explaining test results to patients and their families in language they can understand</li><li>Coordinating with other healthcare providers such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers to develop treatment plans that address all areas of need</li><li>Recommending modifications to the patient’s environment to facilitate recovery</li><li>Performing neuropsychological assessments to determine whether patients are able to safely return to work or school after an injury</li><li>Providing emotional support and counseling services to help patients cope with their injuries</li><li>Conducting training sessions for other medical professionals who will be working with the patient during treatment</li><li>Using computer software to create visual representations of patient data</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Benefits</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Accommodation allowance.</li><li>Healthcare insurance.</li><li>Free flights.</li><li>Paid leave.</li><li>Education allowance for children.</li></ul><p><br></p>The successful candidate must have completed at least 3-5 years experience post specialist training and preferably more If you are not sure if you meet the requirements for this role please still apply or get in touch.
