Job Description

Mission

The Financial Analyst will report to the Regional Finance Manager, work in close collaboration with local & regional controlling teams and shall support in all aspects of Financial Management including reporting, planning and compliance of operations across the Middle East Region.

Main assignments

  • Be well versed with accounting policies adopted by the Group and collaborate with accounting team to ensure these are properly adapted.
  • Support the finance team to monitor variances between budget/forecasts and actuals, document/explain the specific reasons and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support in finalizing accruals for monthly reporting.
  • Work closely with budget owner on the expense tracking (actual vs planning)
  • Support the finance team to finalize the Management Reporting Pack for the submission to HQ in line with the reporting instructions received from them.
  • Monitor business processes to ensure implementation and adequacy of internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors, concession partners, suppliers and banks.
  • Support the retail team in analyzing trends and validating the financial data.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Degree in Accounting and fair understanding of IFRS
  • Previous experience in Retail Industry. Exposure to KSA and Qatar markets would be a plus
  • Fully fluent in Arabic and English (Read, Write & Speak)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) & SAP
  • Dynamic and analytical.
  • Problem solving mindset & Attention to details
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-cultural environment
  • Solid communication skills
