<p>The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine invites applications for full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Biotechnology. </p><p><br></p><p>The applicant will have to attend to the following responsibilities:</p><ol><li>Teach graduate courses in biotechnology, genetic engineering, and related fileds, while introducing student-centered and problem-based learning approaches.</li><li>Conduct high-quality research in the field of biotechnology with a specific focus on gene editing technology.</li><li>Mentor and supervise graduate students in research projects, guiding them on how to use genome screening libraries for precise genetic adjustments and studies on functional genomics.</li><li>Foster interdisciplinary research efforts.</li><li>Engage in service activities within the department, faculty, and university. </li></ol><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ol><li> A PhD in a relevant field of biotechnology, molecular genetics, or a related discipline.</li><li>Postdoctoral experience in the field of biotechnology and gene manipulation. Strong background and expertise in gene editing technology research, including practical experience with techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9, genome screening libraries, or other genome editing tools.</li><li>Demonstrate research productivity through high-quality publications </li><li>Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, with a strong commitment to student-centered and problem-based learning approaches.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.</li></ol><p><br></p><p>The AUB’s Faculty of Medicine is renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, research, and community service.
