<strong>SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:<br><br></strong>The Biomedical Engineering Technician is responsible about maintaining the Dental Equipment in the College of Dentistry to ensure well-functioning of all the equipment.<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: <br></strong><ul><li> Performing routine maintenance checks on Biomedical equipment (Dental Equipment). </li><li> Installing new Dental equipment and do the required adjustment as per manufacturer specifications. </li><li> Training staff members and students to operate and acre for equipment with physical demonstration. </li><li> Updating the inventory, placing orders for dental equipment or spare-parts as required and verifying deliveries. </li><li> Preparing the technical reports and reviewing the technical offers. </li><li> Repairing faculty machinery on a routine basis and tending to emergency repairs as needed. </li><li> Maintain a daily maintenance report about the breakdowns in the College. </li><li> Ensuring that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality, and its compliance with relevant laws. </li><li> Communicate and Follow with suppliers, companies and report any breakout. <br><br></li></ul><strong>SUPERVISION:<br><br></strong><strong>Report to:</strong> Dean of College<br><br><strong>Subordinates:</strong> N/A<br><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:<br></strong><ul><li> A diploma / bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or technology, or a similar field. </li><li> A minimum of 3 yearsβ experience as a biomedical technician. </li><li> Exceptional knowledge of the structure and uses of dental equipment. </li><li> Solid technical skills and the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail. <br><br></li></ul><strong>KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:<br></strong><ul><li> Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in layman’s terms. </li><li> Ability to work well under pressure. </li><li> Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>
