<p><strong>1.Job Summary:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a skilled and highly organized Bid Engineer to join our team at OCC Weavers Ltd. The Bid Engineer will play a crucial role in the construction bidding process, working closely with the Estimating team to prepare and submit competitive bids for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of the construction industry.</p><p> </p><p><strong>2.Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>- Collaborate with the Estimating team to review project requirements, plans, and specifications to develop comprehensive bid proposals.</p><p>- Conduct thorough cost analysis and prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.</p><p>- Coordinate with various departments and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid preparation, including pricing, scope of work, and project schedules.</p><p>- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, and solicit competitive quotes.</p><p>- Prepare and submit bid packages, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.</p><p>- Review bid documents and contracts to identify potential risks, ambiguities, or discrepancies and provide recommendations for mitigating such risks.</p><p>- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other client interactions to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and client expectations.</p><p>- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact bidding strategies and construction project costs.</p><p>- Maintain accurate and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and related information.</p><p> </p><p><strong>3.Qualifications</strong>:</p><p>- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</p><p>- Proven experience as a Bid Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.</p><p>- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and pricing strategies.</p><p>- Proficiency in bid preparation software (CANDY) and Microsoft Office Suite.</p><p>- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.</p><p>- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.</p><p>- Knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and legal requirements.</p><p>- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.</p><p>- Professional certifications or affiliations related to bidding and estimating (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are desirable.</p>
