Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut is looking to hire a Banquet Chef.

Overlooking the Mediterranean, the Phoenicia InterContinental hotel with 446 rooms and suites and 33 apartments, along with 4 F&B outlets, and one of the largest banquet facilities in Lebanon.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

Menu Planning and Development:

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and banquet sales team to create innovative and enticing banquet menus.
• Design menus to accommodate various dietary preferences, cultural requirements, and special requests.

Food Preparation and Execution:

• Train and supervise the banquet kitchen team, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene throughout the kitchen area.

Inventory and Cost Control:

• Manage food inventory and ordering, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing wastage.
• Implement cost-effective practices without compromising on food quality or guest satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the banquet kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognize achievements, and identify areas for improvement.

What We need from you:

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification.
• Previous experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a 5-star hotel or fine dining establishment.
• Use the Microsoft Office Tools 
• Must speak and right fluent English and Arabic
