Neo Technologies is currently looking for a Backend Engineer who can help with architecture, development, and DevOps working across the product and design teams. The successful candidate will grow and emerge as our company grows. We work in an Agile environment and our current tech stack is Python, React and PostgreSQL. We want someone who is willing to learn and build production products. If you are a true techie who loves to work in a startup, we want to hear from you!<p><br></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Design, implement, deploy and support new web-based applications and web services using server technologies stacks that include Python, SQL and AWS services</li><li>Define and implement REST Web Services for exposing personal financial services for managing financial accounts, payments, investment portfolios</li><li>Execute end-to-end software development and deployment in an agile environment that greatly values CI/CD</li><li>Learning and engaging in any new requested web frameworks</li><li>Integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic</li><li>Monitoring at all steps of software development from integration, testing, releasing to deployment and infrastructure management</li><li>Mentoring junior team members and instilling best practices</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering</li><li>Strong object-oriented and functional programming skills in any of the following languages: Ruby, Java, node.js &amp; Python</li><li>Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS</li><li>Understanding of fundamental design principles</li><li>Thorough knowledge of SQL and Database system design</li><li>Strong understanding of HTTP standard and experience with RESTful interfaces</li><li>Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git or SVN)</li><li>2+ years ‘experience in Back-end development</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Benefits</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Continuous learning</li><li>Friendly work environment</li><li>Hybrid work philosophy (in-office + remote)</li><li>Pay in US Dollars</li><li>Bonus scheme</li><li>Medical insurance</li><li>Central Beirut location</li></ul>
