Job Description
<p>We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team. The AutoCAD Draftsman will be responsible for assisting senior design staff through the creation of presentation drawings, construction drawings, 3D modeling, and site evaluations.</p><p><br></p><p>Must be capable of achieving and able to take responsibility for the following given tasks, which may be completed with the team or independently:</p><p>-Preparing Layouts, general arrangements and detailed technical drawings on AutoCAD in accordance with the timeline, quality, assurance standards and client/ project specifications.</p><p>- Marking up drawings to show selected wall/floor/ceiling finishes, power and data intent, lighting layouts in sketch format. A good understanding of space planning/spatial awareness is essential to produce realistic layouts and proposals. Knowledge of typical furniture/fittings dimensions is required.</p><p>- Sketching the Design Intent and any Details of design features, doors, joinery, etc. This may be hand-sketching or using 3D.</p><p>- Producing and revising Layout Drawings, Elevations and Detail drawings. Usually in CAD or Revit depending on the project type. Coordination of other disciplines drawings. These will be a full set of detailed design drawings and the candidate must have a full working knowledge of the expected drawing content – excellent knowledge of interior detailing is essential.</p><p>- Initially checking the drawings produced by external parties (i.e. MEP consultant and Home Automation supplier) and overlaying them/coordinating them with the Interior Design intent and reporting any discrepancies or issues.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree</li><li>5 years UAE experience / 10 years drafting experience</li><li>Expertise in AutoCAD</li><li>Excellent time management and organization skills</li><li>Excellent coordination and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure</li><li>Excellent mathematical ability and technical understanding</li><li>Extensive knowledge of materials and technical specifications related to interior design.</li></ul><p></p>
