Job Description
- Receive JC from BS controller, check vehicle and check list, estimation and approvals to proceed repair to be done as per approval
- Repairs damaged to metal body work on vehicles and forms replacement vehicle panels.
- Remove damaged panels and parts or removes upholstery and accessories to gain access.
- Uses panel-beating hammers to remove dents
- Straightens damaged vehicles Body and parts, chassis using car-o-liner, bench puller, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Fills depressions with plastic filler, and files, grinds, and sand repair surfaces.
- Repairs panels by welding on new sections. Weld using MIG & TIG and gas welding equipment’s
- May assist vehicle body builders in construction or restoring accessories, custom- designed, vintage or other specialty vehicles.
- May form panels using metal presses, guillotines, and cutters, according to dimensional drawings.
- Check the quality of job before sending for QC
- Maintain dismantle and damage scrap parts in designated area as per insurance name
Skills and Abilities
- Must know how to MIG, TIG, spot and oxy weld, will use hammer to press metal.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Must be able to fill using hands and be able to use hydraulic porta- power.
- Must be able to use hand tools and to use hydraulic systems competently.
