<strong>We are looking for an Associate Quantity Surveyor for our Project &amp; Development Services business line. </strong><p><br></p><strong>Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>We are currently looking for an Associate Quantity Surveyor on a large project both pre and post-contract.<p><br></p>The successful candidate will be responsible for showing high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers or cost and value; capturing and sharing knowledge and driving innovation in service.<p><br></p><strong>What this job involves:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Provide support to Team Leaders, Service Leaders in the delivery of the project; carry day to day delivery responsibility and demonstrate the ability to take on tasks with minimal supervision. </li><li> Assist in the coaching and development of subordinate team members in the delivery of service excellence. </li><li> Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li> Utilize and embed JLL best practice tools and processes including the use of technology to support delivery. </li><li> Be able to interpret a brief from a client or senior manager and convert into a delivery plan. </li><li> Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of small / medium sized projects or significant components of larger Commercial/Cost Management assignments. </li><li> Understand and comply with business risk and project delivery parameters including compliance in respect scopes of service agreed by others. </li><li> Capture and share knowledge and be involved with the development of service improvement and innovation as part of the JLL way. </li><li> Be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning. </li><li> Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times</li><li> Advise on the contract form and its amendments in line the Client’s requirements</li><li> Ensure that contract documents and its components are aligned and in accordance with the Client’s requirements. </li><li> Managing contractual / commercial queries and ensure that such queries are responded comprehensively and in a timely manner. </li><li> Participate in the contractual / commercial assessment of the bidders’ proposals</li><li> Manage the contractual / commercial post tender clarifications</li><li> Participate, if required, in contractual / commercial negotiations with the bidders</li><li> Compiling contract documents and its components and ensure that such documents are updated and in line with the agreed terms. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Required Qualifications: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Quantity Surveying or similar relevant field,</li><li> Minimum 10 years experience, preferably in mega projects, managing multi-million contracts,</li><li> MRICS certification is a must,</li><li> Excellent knowledge of contracts and construction industry standards and practices and deep understanding of contracts governance, contractual language, and the contract lifecycle,</li><li> Highly developed attention to details and talents for accuracy and precision. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>What you can expect from us:</strong><p><br></p>We succeed together and believe the best inspire the best, so we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our success.<p><br></p>Our Total Rewards program reflects our commitment to helping you achieve your career ambitions, recognizing your contributions, investing in your well-being and providing competitive benefits and pay.<p><br></p>We can’t wait to see where your ambitions take you at JLL.
