<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><p>To supervise and manage projects and/or programs execution related to marine infrastructure design scope of work through managing the integration of the marine and coastal design activities with other design disciplines, enhancing the design value engineering and optioneering, managing and administrate design risks through different design stages, monitoring project execution and quality plans implementation, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and reviewing design deliverables quality and values to ensure achieving RSG executive vision according to the highest quality and environmental standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the preparation and development of marine and coastal infrastructure design for RSG through developing plans, and ensuring appropriate design methods are implemented, in order to ensure the effective and efficient translation of executive vision for RSG</li><li>Manage and mentor team members within the Marine Infrastructure Team that will report to the Associate Director, including undertaking mid and end-of-year performance reviews and setting of goals and KPIs</li><li>Evaluate and rate the service provider/consultant/contractor capabilities to select the qualified service providers/consultants/contractors in line with RSG standards</li><li>Oversee and ensure detailed feedback is provided on consultant and service provider documentation at all stages of the project from initial design to implementation, in order to ensure all efforts are aligned and projects are compliant with the RSG’s standards and overall objectives.</li><li>Implement rigorous and effective value engineering and scope management techniques to achieve the forecasted budgets and required project hurdle rates without loss of quality and design intent.</li><li>Monitoring the coordination during the marine infrastructure design phases in conjunction with other RSG disciplines in order to ensure a multi-disciplined coordinated design is produced in a timely and effective manner as per RSG’s policies and procedures and project-specific approvals from management.</li><li>Report on project status and design progress to design director.</li><li>Monitor the progress and completion of the marine infrastructure aspects of projects through their development lifecycle to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the project.</li><li>Ensure international standards and codes (i.e. health standards, safety, quality, etc.) are in place in all structural aspects of the projects.</li><li>Coordinate with the relevant functions to ensure the marine and coastal aspect of all projects are planned and implemented as per environmental conservation and sustainability standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Qualification &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum of 12 to 15 years of relevant marine or coastal engineering experience with 4 years in a managerial position</li><li>Project management experience (especially with regards to scope, schedule, quality, resources, communication, risk and stakeholder management)</li><li>A strong technical knowledge of marine or coastal engineering WRT design of elements such as quay walls, marinas, breakwaters, revetments, suspended deck structures, beaches, vessel maintenance facilities, etc.</li></ul>
