Job Description
To lead day-to-day agency account team in delivering the best possible media strategy and planning consultation to Visa CEMEA.
As the Associate Business Director – Media you will serve as the ‘face’ of Starcom on a day-to-day basis, and the leader of the dedicated client account management teams. You will oversee all elements of client work, and be the ultimate guardian of your client-agency business.
Responsible for strategic media related tasks; Also responsible for supporting the team/local markets with planning and optimization excellence
You will be a leader of people, and will be required to dedicate time & effort to growing your direct and indirect reportees to empower them to be the talent of the future.
A) Knowledge:
Own and lead the strategic media strategy & planning process within CEMEA in partnership with the relevant Visa leads & global
Excellent grasp of communications strategy with a full understanding of how advertising works and key advertising principles
Provide innovation ideas and test and learn pilots relevant and applicable to CEMEA market.
Provide oversight to local markets to ensure audience approach / messaging / phasing work together across all outputs
Develop a full understanding of the agency’s planning framework model (HX Model)
Develop a full understanding of clients’ business sales, competitors, customers, objectives
Strong up to date understanding of: performance marketing, digital media, social media, mobile marketing, addressability, and advanced measurement models.
A thorough knowledge of the media marketplace and opportunities available and build constructive relationships with key media owners where relevant.

Ability to adopt a solution-based mindset, always looking for enhanced methods of working.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong leadership qualities with a passion to grow talent from the ground, up.
Ability to juggle multiple client deliverables at any one time, deploying resources in the right places to achieve the best possible outcome.
C) Product:
Ensure strong measurement and reporting mechanics are in place to track performance and impact.
Proactively share feedback on the global toolkits and innovation opportunities with global and CEMEA.
Drive the block plan process in partnership with Visa and ensure that the local markets are leveraging the automated tool to fuel their strategic decision making (supported by BD).
Support Business Director on quarterly business reviews and AOP process
Digital Media experience with the ability to provide key strategic input on strategies, plans and deliverables.
Lead on all key campaign strategies.
Oversee the quality of work of the team to make ensure it delivers on the clients objectives.
Ability to articulate and write specialist Point-of-View documents.
Propose and implement the clients’ digital roadmap making sure it delivers on their business objectives.
D) People:
To monitor day to day output of team, ensuring optimum delivery.
To provide on the job training and learning opportunities for members of your teams.
Achieve a good rapport with Publicis colleagues across all divisions, clients, other agencies and media owners.
E) Operations:
Centrally driving the coordination & governance of all the common briefs (i.e. B2B) in partnership with the local markets across media, creative & production (in partnership with Saatchi & Saatchi).
Consolidate Tier 1 campaign learnings, common insights, & best practices and share learnings across the region to ensure that CEMEA is constantly learning and evolving.
Monitor and track global, CEMEA and local market progress along with how the campaigns are being activated.
To undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for Regional offices.
To proactively manage clients’ expectations.
