Responsibilities

  • Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work

  • Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness

  • Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management

  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers;

  • Adheres to the hotel’s code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards

  • Actively participates in briefings and meetings

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment

  • Performs any additional duties as assigned

  • Adheres to the hotel’s code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards

  • Inspects guest rooms and public areas as assigned and in accordance with hotel standards; stocks and maintains the linen closet

  • Assists in general department administration

  • Handles “Do Not Disturb” rooms according to Hotel policy

  • Ensures follow up on maintenance requirements in the areas assigned

  • Assists in routine inventory taking of supplies and operating equipment

  • Ensures Maids Pantries are kept clean and tidy

Special Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

  • Eight hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need.

  • Proficiency in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery

  • Competent in MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) procedures and trained in accident response
