With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five star presence.<br><br><strong>Your day to day:<br></strong><ul><li>Collaborating with other engineers and workers to design, develop, test, and improve products and engineering processes. </li><li>Performing regular inspections of equipment and scheduling maintenance or repairs. </li><li>Inspecting inventory and reporting inconsistencies as well as ordering more materials.</li><li>Evaluating all products and processes and ensuring standardization of quality assurance measures. </li><li>Ensure the quality of all work completed by both employees and external contracted staff adheres to the standards of good engineering practice</li><li> Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.</li><li>Participating in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions. </li><li>Calibrating and troubleshooting equipment as required.</li><li>Being aware of the local government body norms and guidelines.</li><li>Check wastage and ensure optimum use of material in the operation.</li><li>Document and report on energy wastage.</li><li>Report to the Director of Engineering any abnormal conditions noticed at any time with life safety related equipment or installation.</li><li>Substitute for the Director of Engineering in all matters in any absence from duty.</li><li>Supervise technicians and tradespersons for performance, quality of work and attendance.</li><li>Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with workload and priorities for approval by the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Perform, at least weekly, a routine inspection of all engineering operational areas (plant rooms) and report any equipment malfunction to the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Assist the Director of Engineering in every aspect of the operation as requested.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualification:<br></strong><ul><li>Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or Civil</li><li>Over 2 years’ experience in similar role. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering </li><li>Excellent communication skills.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills. </li><li>High resilience in dynamic environment. <br><br></li></ul>In return we’ll give you a competitive financial and benefits package and the chance to work with a great team of people.
