Job Description
The Wholesale Channel Representative is to manage the wholesale accounts within his region/area ensuring the proper asset management controls are in place to ensure the integrity of CHEP pooling system and to avoid losses.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Executes client visits schedule and follow the proper controls put in place to ensure the adherence of this schedule
- Ensure client training in equipment control procedures
- Ensure customer equipment queries and ensure they are resolved promptly
- Assist in having continuous visits and calls on non-participating distributors and pallet recycler locations to recover CHEP assets that have fallen out of the network (when needed)
- Manage the collection of pallets for your respective accounts
- Tracking and recovery of non-participating distributor transfers into the territory annually.
- Execute the stock audits at customer sites
- Assessing and monitoring customer site for effective controls
- Offer solutions to problems identified with equipment losses, misuse, re-use and damages.
- Provide assistance and training in implementing recommended changes.
- Report on Losses & surpluses
- Ensuring all audits allocated is completed as per the deadlines
- Manage the overall accounts performance in collaboration with CCT
- Assist in the delivery of invoices and following up on payments when needed
- Conduct monthly customer meetings to review performance, challenges and opportunities for better asset productivity/control (for key accounts)
- Ensure that all pallet movements and transfers out are accurately captured in a timely manner
- Ensure that controls in relation to pallet exchange are operating effectively
- Support on asset protection and recovery activities including identifying and recovering stray pallets/locations
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (preferably with Supply Chain degree)
Experience
- General working experience: 0-5 years preferably in the Retail Market Sector
Preferred Education
Diploma – Logistics Management
Preferred Level of Work Experience
1 – 3 years
