Area Visual Merchandiser

Job Description

<p>Eyewa is looking for an experienced Area Visual Merchandiser who will be responsible for</p><p>arranging and maintaining attractive visual presentation in windows, on ledges, shelves,</p><p>and fashion panels throughout the store. May follow a floor plan to re-merchandise an</p><p>area in preparation for special events or season changes. Performs other duties as</p><p>assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p>● Creating and implementing a visual merchandising strategy for the store.</p><p>● Ensuring the strategy is in line with the store’s brand, products, and target</p><p>market.</p><p>● Generating sketches of visual displays that meet the store’s visual design</p><p>requirements.</p><p>● Finalizing designs and creating detailed floor plans for display areas.</p><p>● Sourcing the props, creative materials, and accessories for displays.</p><p>● Installing and setting up window displays, walkways, counters, and in-store</p><p>displays, or supervising contractors hired for this purpose.</p><p>● Changing displays to promote new product launches or to reflect festive or</p><p>seasonal themes.</p><p>● Ensuring uniformity of displays across multiple store locations.</p><p>● Liaising with other retail professionals, including buyers, marketing executives,</p><p>and retail merchandisers, when necessary.</p><p>● Monitoring costs and working within budget.</p><p>● Researching lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising</p><p>strategy.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p><br></p><p>● Strong visual merchandising skills and the ability to drive business through</p><p>creativity, fashion consciousness and commerciality</p><p>● Knowledge of basic computer skills</p><p>● Ability to provide day-to-day visual training and guidance through eyewa’s shared</p><p>values</p><p>● Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</p><p>● Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills</p><p>● Strong organizational and time management skills</p><p>● Strong verbal communication skills</p><p>● Able to work independently while still working within a team environment</p><p>● Must be able to work with hand-and-power operated tools and lift in order to</p><p>execute display setups</p><p>● Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours at times</p><p>● May be required to travel to support other stores</p>
