Rixos Qetaifan Island North
Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Aquatics Technician
This position is responsible for pools, spray parks, water fountains, and related mechanical equipment in the waterpark

What you will be doing:
– Able to operate and maintain pool/spray park maintenance and water slides including polishing, waxing, fiberglass repairing, water sanitation methods and techniques, disinfecting, filtering, backwashing, sanitizing and alkalizing
– Perform chemical level tests, maintain chemical control systems, filter systems and UV systems
– Maintain water treatment systems. Know chemical/water balance techniques
– Maintain pool filtration systems, heat exchangers and dosing pumps
– Plan and schedule preventive maintenance of pool works in the waterpark
– Maintain work tools in good condition
– Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
– Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
– Maintain water balance daily logs and records while on duty, paper and electronic
– Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order request for items needed
– Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
– Report all potential hazards, safety concerns and accidents immediately
– Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the water park
– Comply with Health and Safety Regulations
