Find out more at https://www.aveva.com/en/about/careers/<br><br></strong><strong>Application Engineer (AOC), Al Khobar<br><br></strong>The AVEVA Operation Centre (AOC) Application Engineer is responsible for working as part of a team that delivers and supports software implementations, which meet our customer’s requirements for AOC. The application engineer is engaged in the implementation from contract signing, to the final delivery and customer hand over of the AOC product. Familiarity to O&amp;G and Petrochemical business is highly desirable.<br><br><strong>Dimensions<br><br></strong>This role is part of a team, which supports our implementations and customers in Middle East and Europe. The position requires the ability to work closely with the customer and project management to collaboratively implement AVEVA AOC. Within AVEVA AOC this role will be centred on the development of Dashboards for Operations Centre and integrating it various sources of data.<br><br>The Application Engineer will act as a technical lead in service engagements, taking a high level of personal responsibility for achieving a successful engagement but also directing development staff where appropriate. Travel is expected for onsite activities. Consultancy and pre-sales will be predominantly with an evolving new product but will also involve existing products already in the market.<br><br>Principal Accountabilities<br><br><ul><li>Carry out service engagements with customers, including the implementation of standard and customised solutions, training, requirements gathering &amp; analysis, solution definition and software customization.</li><li>Provide product usage support to customers.</li><li>Assist Sales and Business Development with demonstrations, answering RFIs, and other pre-sales activities.</li><li>Provide domain input to product development, including requirements, technical reviews and testing.</li><li>Liaise with Global teams in solution development, documentation, deployment and delivery.</li><li>Assume a Leadership role in assigned projects ensuring the project is delivered as designed on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.</li><li>Act as a technical mentor and team lead to develop cyber security technical expertise.</li><li>Act as primary customer interface to ensure proposed solutions meet their business needs.</li><li>Act as technical Point of Contact for on-going support of critical customers that need on-going technical relationship management.</li><li>Develop sound and trusted relationships with internal and external customers by providing accurate and efficient technical/engineering support.</li><li>Respond to customer inquiries, questions, and issues by diagnosing problems and providing the most appropriate technical solution in an accurate and timely manner.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Important Working Relationships<br><br></strong><ul><li>The Application Engineer must be able to work closely with the customer on several levels from middle management to end user groups. Implementations are supported by distributed development teams and local offices. Close co-operation with these resources is a major requirement for this position. Communication language is English.</li><li>The Application Engineer must develop and maintain strong and healthy working relationships with the Global teams remotely located worldwide.<br><br></li></ul>Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required<br><br><ul><li>Educated to bachelor’s degree level either in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in functional areas in industry domains.</li><li>Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce technical specifications and training material.</li><li>Ability to communicate well with customers, managers and AVEVA staff in the UK, and worldwide.</li><li>Experience from working with Global Industries and EPC within the mentioned areas is preferred.</li><li>Prior hands-on experience with AOC and legacy Wonderware products.</li><li>Prior hands-on experience in HMI development and designing.</li><li>Fluent in English (written &amp; spoken).<br><br></li></ul><strong>AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
