Job Description

This position is responsible for supervising the IRQNBB civil sites and work of all civil projects related to IRQNBB portfolio. This position is also responsible on the coordination with other engineering departments to implement the civil work in all sites, and to follow with the main and sub contractors.

The Civil Project Engineer is responsible on the quality of civil work and projects in all sites and to review all CAD drawings to ensure that the implementation of work are aligned with the planned drawings.

Job Duties:

  • Supervision of Site preparation during mobilization period in accordance with mobilization programe.
  • Coordinate with Engineering department to ensure that all necessary documents are available to commence work on site, including approved drawings, specification, quality plans, etc. in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.
  • Overall supervision of Site surveying and setting out of grid lines and levels.
  • Overall, supervision and coordination of site General Foreman and Site Engineers areas of responsibilities and allocation of work areas. Follow up to ensure execution of work is carried out in accordance with approved method statements.
  • Follow up with the Main Contractor that all required Inspection/ Tests are carried out in accordance with Relevant Inspection/ test Plans, and all Inspection Request Forms are signed off by the Consultant Resident Engineer.
  • Completing all necessary QA documentation related to work and coordinating with Project QA/QC Manager/Engineer for daily site inspections.
  • Review Drawings and specifications and ensure understanding by the Site Engineers, and General Foreman Resolve any ambiguous technical issues with Construction manager.
  • Follow up with the Main Contractor efficient usage of materials to minimize wastage, and supervise materials storage area.
  • Prepare required site Reports and submit to Project manager in timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Project QA Manager/ Engineer to ensure site instructions/ Non- conformance reports are acted upon and closed in a timely manner.
