<p>Our client, a leading diversified agricultural conglomerate, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced <strong><u>Agrochemicals (Fertilizer) Business Development Manager</u></strong> to drive growth and expand its presence in the MENA region. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing market and contribute to the success of the organisation.</p><p><br></p><p>As an Agrochemicals Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the MENA region. Your deep understanding of the agriculture industry, coupled with your strong business acumen, will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and establishing long-term partnerships.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Identify and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the MENA agrochemical industry.</li><li>Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to penetrate the market and achieve sales targets.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, government agencies, and farmers.</li><li>Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess potential opportunities for expansion and product diversification.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring optimal utilization of agrochemical products.</li><li>Monitor and report on sales performance, market dynamics, and competitive activities.</li><li>Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the agriculture sector.</li><li>Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other relevant events.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.</li><li>Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development or sales within the agrochemical industry, with a focus on fertilizers or crop protection.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of the MENA agricultural market, including key players, distribution channels, and local farming practices.</li><li>Business experiences in cacao, cotton, coffee, ground nuts, rice, maize, soya and seed are desirable.</li><li>Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.</li><li>Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.</li><li>Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Fluent in English, French or Arabic, proficiency in other local languages is a plus.</li><li>Willingness to travel frequently within the MENA region (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Sudan).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Selby Jennings is a Trading Style of Phaidon International (License number 16S8194)</p>
