Job Description
<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The Accounting Assistant will support the financial activities of the corporation and assist with the preparation of current financial reports and summaries. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assists the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.</li><li>Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; assists with any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.</li><li>Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.</li><li>Analyses operations to identify areas in need of reorganisation or elimination.</li><li>Support digitisation of processes to improve efficiency and enhance analytical performance.</li><li>Works with the Finance Director and other executives to assist with planning and establish priorities for the planning process.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent management and supervisory skills.</li><li>Excellent analytical and organisational skills.</li><li>Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Good communicator.</li><li>Highly analytical.</li><li>Problem solver.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>ACCA or CIMA designation preferred.</li><li>2-5 years’ experience in accounting required.</li></ul>
