<p>Brief Description:</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting statutory audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate has an experience in a construction environment, financial accounting, a good general ERP knowledge and ensures books are accurate and timely, as well as in compliance with Saudi Arabia GAAP and internal policies.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>This position is also involved in other related accounting and reporting projects. The Senior Accountant provides day-to-day support to management and various functions.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><u>Manage Payment Processing:</u></p><ul><li>Prepare monthly GL activities, journals, and accruals, perform balance sheet reconciliation and analytical reviews.</li><li>Participate to the monthly, quarterly, and yearly USGAAP close process.</li><li>Assist with Statutory Financial Statements preparation as well as direct tax filings and underlying information for VAT returns payment and filing.</li><li>Perform invoicing of third-party sales in local language and active follow-up on cash collections.</li><li>Assist with local law compliance and others local specific requirements.</li><li>Assist with the renewal of the various local operating and business licenses.</li><li>Partner with accounts payable team to ensure timely invoice processing & payments of key vendors</li><li>Partner with Treasury Team to ensure timely anticipation of cash needs</li><li>Active support in internal and external audit activities and help with timely remediation of any findings or follow up items.</li><li>Assist with business planning and budgeting process and monthly review and forecast of financial performance to ensure strong budgeting control and discipline for the operations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 6 years of relevant financial experience in a construction environment with at least 2 years in similar role. </li><li>Good knowledge of Saudi Arabia statutory requirements and GAAP as well as direct and indirect tax </li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing </li><li>Advanced Excel skills and strong general understanding of ERP systems required</li><li>Must be able to meet the deadline for month-end close and year-end close. </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Driven, able to work independently in an efficient manner and keen to take on new responsibilities </li><li>Pro-active, team player oriented, reliable, and hands-on approach </li><li>Willingness and ability to recognize and adapt to changing business requirements </li><li>Fluent in Arabic and very Good English,</li></ul>
