Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for entering and verifying a variety of data related to Expenditure & Payroll activities, in addition to calculating the landed cost of each item and resolving any data discrepancy in an efficient and accurate manner in line with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Son’s policies and procedures.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Finance Department’s set policies and procedures and comply with the company’s other policies.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of accounts and preparation of general ledger entries.
  • Identify any data discrepancies and resolve the same to eliminate any errors that may occur.
  • Update data, edit current information, or proofread new entries to the database for accuracy.
  • Keep records of all aspects through compiling daily reports and preparing consolidated reports to be reviewed by concerned entities.
  • Develop Payroll preparation and processing, including document maintenance and monthly account reconciliation.
  • Implement General ledger maintenance and assistance with month end closing, ensuring compliance with Policies & Procedures.
  • Coordinate audits conducted by internal/external entities on accounting practices/processes, expenditures, and reporting.
  • Process payments and the depositing of revenues to ensure the financial transactions are conducted within generally accepted accounting principles, applicable legal requirements, and policies & procedures.
  • Maintain an organized backup database of the recorded entries/ information/ invoices to ensure proper document retention.
  • Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and daily mail pickup.
  • Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Skills

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in the same or related field.
  • Communication Skills (proficiency in Arabic languages is an advantage)
